So far, so good. hg915-6500

1720 gp hg915-6500 -- has anyone else noticed 2 different ASINs in 2 ads for the same model number? I chose this one because the release date was 2 months early. The same seller is listed for each of them. Used as a submersible pump in an irrigation system with 3/4" PVC and a 1/4" orbital manifold with 8 ports at the bottom end. An initial 6 foot climb to the manifold/valves and another 7-8 inch climb for a track after that. It takes 80-90% power to maintain 20 GPH on the most resistive path. On a shorter path, the 25 GPH collector is probably the limiting factor. Apply right away. It took a bit for the initial riser to fill up, but after that it reached both zones (individually) with good flow. The orbital collector at the end has a maximum speed of 25 gallons per hour. I probably used more energy than I need. I wouldn't be surprised if I could set this to 50% or less. I really like the power control. Despite other reviews, for an irrigation system with a large initial stroke and 3/4" PVC, the pressure is reasonably stable, at least with plenty of headroom. By comparison, a "528 gph" pump with an advertised "8.2 ft- Hub" didn't work the same. It zeroed out for about the first 6 feet due to some water leaking from the manually opened valve after 5 minutes of operation. A paper towel was superfluous to clean it up. One nasty aspect: the inlet, down fairing is not sealed so the water level must still be above that inlet When inflated it looked up anyway Easy choice to stick with the other option Otherwise the variety of adapters and the like is amazing Save and look at thousands of items with very slight variations. Duplicates? Even better. I really hope this pump lasts a long time. I will use it. Eat only 30-60 minutes every 3 or 4 days. 5+ years and I will be happy at this price.
