Three months ago my beloved blind 12 year old dog was diagnosed with a horrible case of acute pancreatitis and almost died. He spent two weeks in the hospital, stubbornly surviving pancreatitis but developing kidney failure. But in the last weeks of his life he wanted to be as close to me as possible. If I sit down he will find a way to get on my lap. I bought it so that it can be close to me but still feel comfortable. I took him to my office where he slept on my desk or on my lap all day. Sometimes I drove around the house with it. He loved this little bandage. He even slept in it like a sleeping bag when I wasn't wearing it. In terms of comfort, I found it very easy to wear. I'm 5'3" tall and he hit me right in the thigh. When I used this on him, my dog weighed about 8 pounds and I felt like he was getting enough support. crumbled on me. And it was soft enough to snuggle in. I put a pee pad on the bottom to cushion any small incontinence issues.. felt silly buying a dog carrier but am so glad I did.spent our last few weeks together made it little easier and we both enjoyed being so close.I miss my four year old so much but at least one of my fondest memories is us all snuggling up together while he was in his dog sling.
