Mine arrived intact and undamaged, this is a very practical and reliable solution for short term salad storage and serving. All parts are made of durable hard plastic meant to last a long time. My wife and I are on diets and eat (and enjoy) lots of salads. Plan ahead and fill each of the large 2-cup containers with our favorite foods for a quick and easy dinner salad. I knew I wasn't going to have an airtight case and like others I simply covered the containers (under the lid) with a plastic wrap when closing them. Like I said, I love it!
