I deducted a star for poor reflector placement. The four stripes (2 on top of each bag) are very good reflectors, but they are mostly visible from above. The reflective piping (stitching) on the sides and bottom of each bag is highly reflective. I could see him 50 feet away in the woods with a aimed flashlight. I haven't seen the four best bands. The front and back gray panels should be reflective as shown in the photos. The oncoming vehicle will mostly see the reflective piping. You can also see parts of the top four reflective strips. If those four panels were reflective, the driver of the car would definitely see my dog. Otherwise this is an excellent backpack. Good quality. It easily fits my 80 lb dog and looks like it could be adjusted for a much larger dog.
