Light My Fire - Camping & Hiking

I decided to give it a try as it was in a Facebook promotion with a significant discount/discount. I recently bought a Bayit version of a ferrorod of the same size. It makes a very good spark, so that's the top priority here. Now let's talk about the included tool. This isn't the best option in terms of sparking or ease of use. To create a spark you must first scrape off the black coating area and the tool cannot do that. I usually carry a knife with me, so that's not a problem, but the fact that it should be able to do it on its own, without the need for another tool (knife) or, say, a rock in the desert becomes has a specific meaning. I prefer a baiting tool, but as far as ferro rods go, this is a tough ferro rod. The cord is no frills and not as useful as Bayite (paracord), but it holds the iron rod and tool together and I can wear it around my neck if needed, so that's a plus. I'm not much of a fire starter, but this ferro wand will certainly put out enough sparks to start a fire, and the wand's length and diameter make it durable. You can't go wrong with a Holtzmann Ferrostab if your goal is to start a fire without having a source of flame. This is a great survival tool that is sure to last for years.
