The product helps avoid the second floor in an emergency fire when the user has significant upper body strength and is using only their hands. The footpegs are too small for anything but maybe a bare foot, especially with weight on them. I wear size 8 boots and they don't fit at all. Also remember that there is nothing in the kit to tie/attach the ladder to anything. As such, you will most likely need to add a piece of rope strong enough for you to tie to something in the upper quest room.
