Review on UCTRONICS Complete Enclosure Raspberry Removable by Leo Torres

The idea was great, the execution was different in different places. It comes disassembled, so you need to assemble it yourself. Annoying, doable to finish - but not all parts are drilled squarely to connect the holes, so it's relatively difficult to line them up with small screws. As a result, I assembled it, just not in the order listed in the instructions. and the walls are not flush/tight with the top or bottom. (Only one image in all of the product images on the Revain site shows it exploded - I've seen it as a CAD showing the interior with no mention of it being exploded). The idea is to use it with a PoE HAT and a PoE switch, but the clearance on the shelf is so small that you have to rotate the PI a bit on the shelf. Indeed the shelf is too small with the HDMI and all ports on the Pi side protruding slightly from the shelf making direct plugging in impossible. So when a new Raspberry PI PoE+ HAT is added, they add too much so the shelf doesn't rotate to slide into the box. Have tried both a bare Pi 4 (suitable "rotate") and a HAT (cannot rotate). Perhaps attaching the dremel to the box would help to add a few millimeters of clearance, but I don't need to fix the product. (This might work with some size/space like the LoveRPI PoE HAT, but you still have to rotate the shelf to fit in the case, with the power input and other outputs "hanging out".) Maybe I'm not good drilled or cut the product, but it's not worth it anyway. (Another annoyance with my setup is that the case fans need to be plugged into a PI or other power source. Because the new RP PoE+ HAT doesn't open any pins, you'll need to use a different power source or PoE HAT product, e.g. B. the LoveRPI PoE HAT, so I'm not tripping this product over this issue.).
