Completely silent and perfect for placing under the table. It's not hot enough to burn you. It would be nice if it had a thermostat instead of always on or always off, so minus one star for that. But at just 150W, it doesn't generate enough heat that you'll probably want to turn it off. Don't expect even a small room to get very hot unless it's enclosed and well insulated. Let's say that in a small bathroom with the door closed, it ends up getting a little warm. But in a typical bedroom, you probably won't notice much of a difference. And don't believe the claims about electric heating. At the same power, they all generate the same amount of heat. For example, all 1500 watt heaters put out the same amount of heat and warm the room in the same way. You need 10 of these to get the same amount of heat as a 1500w heater. But a 1500W heater uses about 15 cents of electricity per hour, while this heater only uses about 1.5 cents per hour.
