I wish I had gone with a different brand.

So after 3 years and about 9000 km I finally decided to write a review about this TPMS. During this time I often thought about what I wanted to say. how much detail I wanted and now after my first trip this season I'm ready to share my thoughts. However, I will say that I am so ready to finish this TPMS system that I will just try to finish this review as well. I originally bought this unit because there were a lot of positive reviews, like here on Revain and other sites too. I really liked that it not only comes from a small family business, but also from the USA. And I'll admit, the somewhat "premium" price made me feel like I was getting a quality item. But I was wrong. Installing the preset didn't go too bad, but the instructions are messy. then it was significantly worse to follow the manual to make changes that weren't preset at the factory. It's just bad and that's all I'll say. Worse is having to make changes without guidance! I immediately started losing readings. Time, after time, after time, after time. I would have to stop, get out, go back to the tires that weren't giving a reading, unscrew and screw the sensor back in. I then went back to the truck and scrolled through the readings (yes, it only reads one tire at a time) and hoped it was finally picking up speed. For the most part, that's it. At least a few more miles and then I'll have to do it all over again. Meanwhile, the windshield mount fell off within the first year and the goo on the suction cup turned to warm, dirty glue. Slime running down my window and into tiny holes above the speaker on the front of the dashboard. although i have tried for a long time to remove all this, there is still glue in many of these holes. If you look at other tile pictures here on Revain you will see that others have had the same issues and have attached photos as well. About a year and a half later I tried to contact the company about the loss of evidence. When I got to them I encountered a very rude owner. He could constantly interrupt me and not let me finish sentences and also insisted that I must be doing something wrong. Nevertheless, they finally offered to send me a repeater. This was another reason why I chose this TPMS system because it is said to work great even on longer rigs without a repeater. Our camper is only 21 feet long while our tracker is about 16 feet long. Then, of course, the distance between the tires of the mobile home and the head unit in the truck becomes smaller. but I still had so many troubles to keep reading. In fact, I don't think I've ever had a trip where all 4 monitors read for the entire trip until the repeater was installed! But now the owner tells me that he will send a repeater to place between the sensors and the head unit. (I also see in Revain's recent description that this TPMS system "includes a free $50 repeater," so I must not have been the only one to complain.) The repeater arrived on time, and I originally did . seems to help, but it doesn't come close to completely solving the problem. Of course it was less frequent, but I still had drops quite often. And not from one sensor, but from all 4, just randomly. In mid-2020, I undertook a 4,000-mile round trip. In fact, I drove about 250 miles before the first sensor stopped transmitting data. From that moment on, it seemed like they were all dating one after the other. Eventually, about 1500 miles into my trip, I decided to just reboot the entire system. but I didn't have a manual. So I called the company. multiple times. and never got a reply or call back. I was just unlucky. Oh yeah, and around that time the clip on the dash mount that was holding the monitor to the mount broke. which brings me to the next point. This head unit seems sooo cheap. like the little plastic toys you get at Happy Mile for kids. On the other hand, some of these toys are probably made of higher quality plastic than this head unit. Again, read other reviews and you'll find that they say the same thing about the less than desirable build quality of this device. After that trip, a few months later we went on an 1800 mile journey. the same story. Last weekend I was on our first trip of the year. All the batteries in the sensors were replaced, they were all unscrewed and screwed back onto the valve stems. I thought that would create a new connection. As I continued down the road they gave all the tire specs which seemed consistent with what the tires should do assuming they were all seated. but then after 15 miles of driving all 4 tire sensors stopped reading and just showed lines as they circulated through each tire! I stopped and unscrewed each of them and screwed them back but no change. I'm done with this TPMS block for now and I strongly recommend everyone to look elsewhere for a TPMS block. Honestly this is the worst investment I have made for our camper and I would say TPMS is one of the most important purchases. Let's summarize: 1. Constantly unsuccessful connections, even with a repeater and on a short Rig.2. terrible rude customer service when you get a reply.3. terrible build quality and design. LOOK ELSEWHERE!
