Review on PNY Performance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL11 Notebook Memory Kit (SODIMM) - MN8GK2D31600-Z by Jay Swearengin

It took 6 months, 3 laptops and 30+ crashes to find out that these memory modules are the cause of all my problems. I went from machine to machine thinking it was one of the other components, a faulty OS installation, or a broken platform. I tried this on an existing Windows 8.1 installation, a Mac OSX computer, and eventually installed a fresh Windows 10 installation until I realized that this RAM module was the cause of the crashes on every computer. It was also difficult to diagnose as sometimes my machine would run for days maybe hours or maybe minutes and then just freeze. I wasn't able to identify the actual usage pattern that was causing the issue. The only trend I could see was that using this memory resulted in crashes. Unfortunately I can't return it anymore as it took me too long to figure it out. CAREFULLY.
