I believe there was a technical issue using this monitor with a MacBook Pro which I have attempted to report to Dell Tech Support but they are not listening and continue to send me a U2520DR as a replacement. I connected a monitor to my MacBook Pro using a Thunderbolt 3 cable, which also powers the MacBook Pro. Twice after disconnecting the monitor from the laptop and reconnecting the monitor to the laptop, the monitor does not display anything. The screen stays black and the self-test fails as described on page 62 of the manual. If you're planning on buying this monitor for use with your MacBook or MacBook Pro, I suggest you look elsewhere. Dell has already replaced mine twice and 2 of them have failed the same way. Fingers crossed for the 3rd. I always turn off the laptop and monitor before unplugging the Thunderbolt 3 cable in hopes that this will prevent a 3rd outage.
