My 2003 Honda Accord sometimes wouldn't start/won't start when I turned the key. There would be an electrical hum or buzz, but the starter would not engage. After a few tries and fiddling with the steering wheel, the starter finally engaged and started the car. This part is the magnet that supplies power to the starter. If the solenoid breaks or is completely broken, there will be insufficient power to the starter. Installation of this part requires only a screwdriver and takes 30 minutes. I watched a YouTube video called "Honda Accord Ignition Switch 03-08" to learn how to remove the panels around the steering column and separate the part. After the replacement, the car has no more starting problems. This is a cheap and easy option to try before shelling out $800-$1000 on a starter replacement.
