The only thing I didn't like about the computer is the messy mess of instructions they have with 6 or 7 languages which made reading it just very messy once installed makes Many of them are not difficult for me over the years, but for the first time the instructions can disappoint you a lot. Sigma has online instructions making it easy to understand. I've had three of these Sigma computers, including this one, over the past 20 years and they've all been fine. All I had were wired. The reason I had to replace the other two was because my wife somehow pulled a wire and broke it on one and the other after 10 years started turning on and off by itself, the contacts where the computer snaps onto the bracket and there will be no reliable connection. Overall Sigma probably makes the best, I've had others and they don't last as long, I've had Cateye, Planet Bike and another one that I can't remember. And I've also had various wireless models and they worked for about 5 years when they're dead, but I've had the most success with the VDO Wireless which is 7 years old now and still works. I haven't tried the Sigma Wireless so I can't comment on the brand and style. Using and testing various wired computers in stores, I found that the Sigma had much better button feel, not that they were really flimsy. Plastic contacts under the keys, the Sigma seems to be really good solid contacts. The Sigma Pure 1 that I bought is a very simple computer that makes it easy for my wife to use and understand. It's a one-button operation that tells her how far she's gone, how long it took her and how fast she's going. She doesn't have to press buttons to scroll to see other things. This is a great computer for beginners or a computer for those who don't care about other information just speed, distance and duration. Installation was very easy, no tools needed, the hardest part was wrapping the wire around things to fit the plug and making sure you don't over or under wrap. Caution: When winding the cable, test the handlebars if you have it by SLOWLY moving it left then right and watch the cable on the computer to make sure it is not pulling on the cable, this one Cable becomes a little tight STOP and loosen the wraps to allow more slack. You should be able to go all the way left and right without the wire getting taut on the computer. Pulling the wire too hard can pull the cable out of the computer and the computer is doomed to garbage. The other tricky part is making sure the sensor is on the fork and the magnet is on the spoke. So don't pinch the magnet on the spoke and the sensor until you get the right position and when you spin the front wheel. You'll get a reading and you've wrapped the wire correctly, once you've done that tighten everything up.
