Received this tent today and did a quick set up to check gear. Looks like a good solid tent. It was easy to assemble, I did it myself in 20 minutes. The rain cover is seam sealed and looked like a decent quality job. I had a short rain shower after assembly and the water rolled off nicely and ran off. It came with "L" shaped round steel pins that could be retracted. The guy line tensioners are thicker plastic and look pretty solid. I went ahead and replaced them with these DDY Ultra Light Aluminum Camping Hiking Climbing Outdoor Tent Poles (Red, 10-Pack). The extensions are cheap paracord but seem to do the job well. [UPDATE] I've had this tent for about a year now. traveled twice. I replaced the wire pins with large yellow plastic pins that hold up much better. It has survived 2 severe thunderstorms and has not leaked. I had one of the velcro rain fly mounts that attaches to the poles of the tent. didn't have much effect. will contact the kernel to see if they fix it. If not, there should be an easy fix to do it yourself. All in all this is a good sized waterproof tent. So far so good, I recommend.
