Review on AUV128-16G-RBY ADATA UV128 16GB USB πŸ“€ 3.0 Flash Drive, Yellow - Retractable & Capless by Louis Loebis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Dont Last Electronics

Was formatted in XFAT and I couldn't put files of required size on the drive. Reformatted to NTFS. If the USB2 ports are to be believed, I got a consistent read speed of 30MB/s when moving two 50G and 5G video files. The writing speed for files of the same size was almost the same. If there's such a thing as a tactile aesthetic, the slider really doesn't fit what I want. I would have preferred an easy slide back and forth with a sign of interaction at either end of the path other than stopping. But in their defense, it works fine and stays there. If you use the slide a lot you might want to consider a different brand as the movement is noticeably rubbing. Just think of a plastic toy and you are already 90% experienced. I don't know why, but the metal insert is much colder after transfer than other flash drives I use. it's long and I carry my discs in a bag where they're pretty well protected from any physical violence. I plug them in at the beginning of the work day and unplug them at the end. That's all. I chose 4 stars because of the value for money and the transmission speed. Will definitely consider this brand in the future if it continues to work. I downgraded this rating to three stars because I bought two of these and one failed within a month of use. He wouldn't be recognized at all. I've tried it on various machines, even taking the circuit board out of the case and spraying small parts of it with freeze spray to see if I can get it working long enough to recover the data. Nothing. I didn't want to ship it under warranty because if it ever works again there will be personal information on it. So I threw it away. I hope the other works. As long as possible. I downgraded this rating to 1 star! Another failed. I will not be buying any Adata branded products in the future.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance
