If anyone wanted to know how many amps these things draw, it's not very much. Each of them draws about 1-1.1 amps. When both are plugged in, they drew about 2.1 amps. I switch them on and off with a 12V relay. The relay coil is controlled by the emergency lighting circuit. I ran a power cord from the front of the truck, protected by a 3 amp fuse. Pros: Bright lights, easy to install, they're IP-68 waterproof (good up to 30 meters. If my truck goes deeper than 30 meters under water, I'll have bigger problems than my reverse lights fail. :-) ) Cons: The mounting screw goes through the bracket which is then attached to the lantern. You should have access to where the nut is to tighten it. If yes, then no problem. If you don't, the only way to tighten is to turn the strut that turns the bolt. It's not a show limiter, but it does make positioning the light source difficult in relation to rotation.
