Review on Logitech One-Touch Smartphone Windshield/Dashboard Car Mount PlusDrive by Julio Roberts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not sure what to think.

Pros Magnets seem pretty strong Magnets attach under cases and phone stays in the holder. Two phones were tested, Samsung S5 and Nexus 6. S5 worked well (with and without case). The Nexus 6 can work without a case, but it's better with a curved phone. The Nexus held up but wasn't as durable as the S5. The suction cup mount makes a nice and well-made impression. The product is well designed. Cons: Most Android phones can wake up the device when the charger is connected. I noticed that when I selected this option, the phone would light up randomly. I assume this is due to the magnet and the QI charge. The second minus is QI charging. Because of the QI charge, you are very limited where you can place the magnet. antenna reception. I'm not entirely sure. With my S5, the magnet did not affect the call quality in any way. However, on my Nexus 6, I had to place the magnet so high that I think it's ruining my call quality. This actually digitized the voices and led to strange things. I have since removed the magnet and it seems to be working fine again. More testing needs to be done, but that's a bad sign. Expensive and for the price it should come with a vent clip. The suction cup is good, but depending on the position, it blocks the field of vision while driving when the phone is attached. Overall I think it's a good product but if you have a Nexus 6 like phone you might want to reconsider.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No paint needed
