This kit was exactly what I needed to replace the alternator on my 2000 Mercedes-Benz C280. I know it's strong because my dad and I loosened the bolts holding the alternator and believe me they were tight. And we used it to remove another alternator from a pickup Mercedes. Not sure if it was the screws on my machine but the base didn't fit fully and the next size down was too small. But there was nothing particularly wrong with that; it still worked perfectly to get the job done. The sheath has some wear but not the rosette itself. Great product at a good price! Would order again if needed.
