Review on Panavise 6 Inch Slimline Pedestal Mount by Chad Baio

These Panavise mounts are serious pieces of equipment. They're very heavy for their size, which isn't a bad thing. I used a set of four to create a laptop gaming rig. I attached them to three thick pieces of acrylic so they could articulate. I think most people use them to mount speakers. I'm sure they'll do the job just fine, but the extra weight can be an issue in some configurations. The only real issue I had was that the screws are a little difficult to hand tighten once in place. I would recommend getting the brackets into position before bolting them to your rig. This way you can really tone them up. If your application, like mine, requires frequent adjustments, you can purchase or install something that will effectively tighten the knobs. More information. They come with everything you need to mount them on the wall. But if you are mounting something heavy I would use toggle bolts or some other strong anchor. I haven't trusted plastic dowels for anything other than hanging pictures.
