Review on 🚚 Enhance Truck and Tow Brake Performance with Power Stop K2813-36 Z36 Brake Kit by Joseph Brendemuehl

Kit includes rear drums, rear pads and rear clamps only. The kit was missing front rotors, pads and all front hardware. Called Revain and they sent a replacement front wheel. Installed the rear rotors and had installation issues as explained by others here with the inside edge of the rotors making contact with the hub plate on the truck. Some have fixed this by turning the rotors on a lathe and removing a millimeter or two from the edge of the rotor. Some used a punch and hammer and knocked out the hub plate where it makes contact with the rotor. I went with the later option and bent back the hub plate about 2mm as I don't have room to sharpen my rotors. The second problem I noticed after putting in new pads is that the edges of the pads are crumbling. I will contact PowerStop regarding these quality issues and see what they say. I don't expect them to fix this issue as others have also complained about PowerStop not returning calls or emails. I have attached photos showing all of the above issues I had with the rotors, hub base plate and brake pads. Overall the rear brakes are functional and seem to stop well on flat ground, but the poor quality of this product (discs and pads) and the additional setup mods to make it work aren't worth it. I would not buy this product again. ** Having ridden with these new brakes for the last month, they are not as strong as the stock brakes. The pedal seems to require a lot more effort to slow the truck downhill than I've ever needed before. It's just that these pads don't bite that much. I am still completely dissatisfied with this brake set and this brand. ** To update. So I put them in for a while and put over 1000 miles on them. After all the problems with the fit and crumbling lasts, the manufacturer ignores all correspondence. They don't seem to stand behind their product at all. Once properly lapped and used, stopping power is rubbish compared to my stock Tundra rotors and pads. I will never buy this brand again for any of my cars. Rating has been changed to 1 star due to fit, quality and performance issues and lack of branding. service to resolve these issues.
