I read a lot of reviews and was very concerned about the arm and the monitor's tilting ability to stay in place - all worked fine. I have a vintage editorial desk on the smaller side with one of those standing desk lifts on top. I hooked this up to a standing desk surface and it's fully supported. I also have a really, really small area to work in my "office"/pantry and was able to maneuver in the empty corner to the right of my desk. I work with a lot of paper files so it was a huge relief to have my desk space back! Also, I was able to do everything with the included hex keys, a pair of pliers for tightening, and a drill for a few screws (because it's quicker and easier on the wrists). I can't stress enough how out of shape and strong I am for not working through COVID - regularly asking my husband to open banks and whatnot. However, I was able to tighten things up quite easily. The actual mounting of the monitor on the bracket is also much easier than expected. You simply screw your VESA mount onto a monitor that you would lay flat, then lift and slide/lock. Pretty easy. I also hooked up a 27" monitor to it. I remember my monitor wasn't the maximum allowable weight for one hand, but was in a higher weight range.
