The first picture measured 138 degrees Celsius? but actual temperature is 18 degrees Celsius, with a much better AND more accurate instant read thermometer (which I recommend). Tempered milk is in an ice bucket and is no hotter than boiling water at 100 degrees Celsius. The reading at 138Β°C is anything but normal. The second image shows a room temperature of 256 degrees Fahrenheit at the probe tip, but the actual room temperature is 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
