Works as advertised - Some things could be improved

Packaging: The box was small but it contained everything needed for assembly, even a tiny screwdriver! However, it is not entirely clear what some of the loose parts were intended for. At the bottom of the box are round black rubber/foam circles of two different sizes. The instructions say to remove the outer rubber ring and place it on the lens, but I wasn't sure what the smaller circles were for. There was a sticker on both sides of the lens stating that the protective film must be removed before use. These stickers didn't come off easily and you couldn't even tell that there was protective film on both sides. In the end I soaked it in soapy water and only after that I was able to remove two films. It would be better to have small tabs to make this step easier. Instructions: They seem very easy, if it weren't for the packaging issues mentioned above I would have gone through them. The only thing he doesn't mention is that you need to make sure the camera's mini USB power connector is pointing DOWN towards the hole on the bottom. Materials: The body of the camera itself seems solid, but the base you attach to the wall and associated pan head are much thinner plastic and I'm afraid it's going to break. I don't know why they decided to make two pieces of different thicknesses. I would have preferred a heavier base to match the quality of the camera body. Overall: Overall I'm happy with what I paid for. It turns my indoor camera into an outdoor camera, which is what I bought it for and the image quality remains as good as ever thanks to the way the case works. I would lower the price of the product for a weak base and plug. When I bought the product the pictures didn't show where the power cord went (it was refurbished) so I was a little disappointed that it has an exposed cord coming out from the bottom. You get what you pay for, just make sure the camera is high enough that nobody can turn it off.
