It's very thin and you hardly feel like you're typing on the cover. I accidentally spilled a whole glass of water on my keyboard. I forgot I was wearing a protector and tried to put it upside down on the rice. Then it dawned on me, I took off the lid and everything worked great! I was lucky enough to put this hat on when this accident happened. Also, I'm typing. I type on the keys and that seems to save wear and tear on the keys. Love it!
