I bought this remote control. The dealership charged $250 for programming or $375 for a new key. To program this you will need to pay a dealer or locksmith to do it, or you can do it yourself. If you choose to do this yourself you will need a 4 digit code for your truck and software to program your vehicle. The dealer was supposed to give you the pin for free, but my dealer wouldn't. I found something called Pinpuller ($20) on Google Play that gave me the code. I had a Bluetooth OBD reader that I already got from Revain for $10, so the pinpuller connected to my Ram 1500 truck and gave me my PIN. Then I bought another program from Google Play called alfaobd ($50). She was able to connect to my truck's computer and program this key fob in 5 minutes. All in all, for less than $100 I was able to get a new key and diagnostic software to use in the future if I have problems with my 2016 Ram 1500. I am very happy with the results. If you know what you're doing and buy the right tools, you can get the job done for less. than $100
