This product is nothing short of a magic pill! I woke up three days ago with what appeared to be cold sores on my upper lip (I've never had it so I wasn't entirely sure - there was no obvious tingling, just small bumps). ). I ordered Lysine straight away after reading so many great reviews and doing a little research on how it helps with tissue repair. I've been taking a pill almost every waking hour since they arrived at 4pm two days ago (so 4 pills the day before yesterday and 8 pills yesterday). I woke up NOTHING this morning! NADA! As if it never happened. My lips were also pretty dry no matter how much water I drank, and when I woke up they were soft and hydrated. I will continue to take this product at the recommended dose to make sure it's all gone, but I can't believe how well L-Lysine works! Pains. The reason for all this information is to say that this is not only for colds / ulcers, but also helps to get rid of any "mouth disease". I've always had good luck with Solgar products and love that they are made with no weird/questionable additives and come in a tinted glass jar.
