I wish I could buy a dust cover like this for less than the $24 plus shipping I paid here but I have to say that it is very well made (sewn very neatly) and overall I am happy with the purchase. The lid is neutral gray as shown here in the product photo. Excellent, firm, perfect fit for my Epson V700 scanner. Looks waterproof (or at least waterproof). It's deep enough to hang something under the bottom of the scanner and really should keep dust out. The manufacturer offers soft and other versions of this case for a few dollars on its website, but it's thick enough to protect the scanner from scratches or bumps and to keep it dust-free. Since there aren't any other reviews here yet, I'll add: The description says it's made of "durable silver nylon with a smooth PVC lining inside". I thought it sounded "cheap" but I took a chance and found that the material is more like "Cordura" (a heavy material similar to what camera bags are made of) and the lining is not thin PVC plastic that breaks or falls off easily. separately, as you can imagine from this description. It's glued to the Cordura and I don't think you could pierce it with anything less than a sharp knife. PVC doesn't smell, I was happy to discover. The material has a slight chemical odor, but only if you need it. I had three ring PVC folders, I could smell the whole room and it doesn't seem like the right material at all. Okay, more than you need to know, but if you need a dust cover for your scanner I think you'll be happy with this if you can pay the price for some quality.
