Review on Enhance Your Home with the Freud Reversible Wainscoting Shank 99 470 by Kenny Marozas

Mandatory Milling Cutter

This is my first Freud cutter. Now I understand why most people say Freud makes the best cutters: After adjusting the depth of cut so that the reverse part fits perfectly, it's so easy to make large wall panels out of 1/2 or 5/8 MDF . Alternatively, you can use 3/4 material with 1/4 rabbit to create a flat or raised panel. The profile is very similar to the basic colonial profile commonly used by builders and sold in big stores, but this profile is more useful because it is reversible. If you are making a skirting board and want a simple, elegant profile then I would do it Recommend using this bit Easily add a sheath to an existing base in the future.

Pros
  • Versatile Design - After milling the appropriate profiles, mill the tab on the back to accommodate the raised panel tab from the 3"-4" blank.
Cons
  • Doubtful
