I have been a TiVo user for 20 years. I think they are best for watching TV whenever you want. Just set the show to be recorded and watched whenever you want. I bought this to replace my previous Bolt Vox. Six months after the previous one, the hard drive failed. TiVo replaced it for $50 and it took about two years and that hard drive died. I bought this through WeakNees. I've heard about them and their reputation and I'm sure it will last longer. Heat seems to be a factor. Weaknees set the new device to go into sleep mode when not in use. That should help with the heating problem.
