I have used Lemon Art of Shaving products in the past including Lemon Pre-Shave Oil. I really liked it and have bought it several times over the last few years. When I went out a month ago I tried to buy more but couldn't find a lemon - I chose unflavored and didn't mind switching to something unflavored. But the word "unscented" isn't the right word for this product - "unflavored" may be true, but it definitely has a strong smell. It smells like an old kitchen cupboard that contains all your spices but has been stripped of everything. Some musty and spicy. It's also quite strong - it changed the smell of my brush and overpowered most shaving cream scents I've used (I'm trying the Taylor of Old Bond Street sample pack right now). For an "unflavoredβ preshave oil, this one certainly has a strong odor. Aside from the taste, it works great. As well as other pre-shave oils. This makes the shave smoother and less annoying. That's easy. smelly. All in all I don't recommend this. If your shaving oil is going to smell anyway, I recommend choosing a product that's specifically designed to smell a certain way. Anything beats "mom's old spice cabinet" - even sandalwood.
