I'm a huge Champion fan and they didn't disappoint. These are medium weight gloves, don't expect them to be very thick. But they are perfect for the vast majority of winter situations - not too bulky, waterproof, windproof, with extra grip - all the qualities you need for most outdoor activities. Also, most kids don't like very bulky gloves and we don't take our kids outside in freezing weather anyway lol. So there's no point in putting a heavy gauntlet on them if they absolutely don't need it. And I guarantee they are warmer than they look. The only flaw I noticed was that they don't have a touchscreen like adult gloves do. You have a snot on the back of your thumb. Both gloves have a small zipper at the back, which feels very comfortable. They are attached both to the cuff (protection against drafts) and to the wrist. I'm a big fan of Duo Dry, which wicks moisture and prevents sweating when wearing gloves. Sweat and moisture getting into the glove is the quickest way to catch a cold. They are almost as good as my high end ski gloves. A+
