I love this Nifty Fifty!

This lens works great with my Nikon D3400 while learning photography. It was a great price, living up to my "I don't spend more than $125 on a lens." Rule. It's lightweight, easy to use, and when I compare some of the images it took to some of the 'professional' images I see in magazines and on the internet, I find it to be a perfect match. I'm sure people will say this is not a high end lens. , but if the pictures are good I don't know why it matters. I would buy more Yongnuo lenses, in fact I have some of their products on my wish list :) Remember, my photo samples are from a person who is LEARNING to switch even the camera stick from auto to manual, so this isn't a professional style or anything sort of, but I think you can see the quality a 50mm lens should offer. The first photo shows just a few toys thrown onto a wooden surface in the sunlight. I was about 3.5 feet away from me and focused on poor little girl Fisher Price who has lost her hair in the 50 years I've had her :) The second photo is of Louise Belcher who is usually with her brothers and sisters at the kitchen window. quite a lot of funco zombies, one of which is chasing them in the photo :) By the way, I haven't edited any of these photos except for cropping. This little zombie dude has been really distorted and his "bokeh" seems to fit his undead lifestyle :) In the third shot, there are several saplings in front of an open window, probably less than 2 feet away. The fourth shot shows an emerging quirk of my photography experience. I love photographing fire hydrants! In this one I got a nice blurry shot of my car in the background while at the local nature center. I just held the camera straight without looking through the viewfinder and snapped a few shots from about 4 feet away. And I'm lucky :) Don't discount this lens because it's cheaper. Any artist or creative person who holds their tools responsible for their art or end result. Well, maybe it's not a tool. Have fun photographing the world!
