Review on Thumb Spica Wrist Brace - Aircast A2 Support For Improved Comfort And Stability by Bill Lacy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Truly a stable cast for thumb and wrist

I have purchased several splints for my De Quervain's tenosynovitis. This is the best for sleeping or when I don't need to use my hand. It's truly a cast, comes in several sizes for a good fit, and has a built-in compression sleeve! It angles the thumb in so you don't catch it on anything, but unlike other spica splints it holds the thumb nearly rigid. I feel totally safe and protected in this splint.

Pros
  • Supportive as needed
Cons
  • I like product but there are marks on wrist and medial side of hand

The stitching in-between thumb and index finger will irritate your skin and possibly break it. Wear a bandaid there and you''ll be much more comfortable.
