Review on HEM Palo Santo Incense Sticks: Pack of 6 - 120 Count - 301g | Natural Aromatherapy Fragrance by Margaret Scott

Subtle and beautiful scent

I tried a sample of this palo santo and it was sold. I immediately bought the economy size. Real palo tree resin (my favorite) is insanely expensive and requires a disc to burn, so I save it for special occasions. Now I have over 120 sticks! This incense catches fire quickly and burns with pure red embers. The box has an Ikea-style image showing the incense stick (with a lit stick on it) to be placed next to the cracked window. This method spreads the scent around the room as if by magic, without a dense haze hanging in the air. You smell like nice incense, not a death cloud. So no, this incense stick does not smell like the purest palo santo resin or even a real oiled stick. This incense smells like a blend of earthy-woody scents like sandalwood, mahogany, amber, fall foliage, and a slightly sweet undertone of what I think is palo. Maybe it's not entirely true, but I still like it. It's soothing and soft. Other HEM incense sticks that smell similar are amber, copal, frankincense and myrrh, sandalwood, white sage, and patchouli. I will also be buying more big boxes of these because sometimes I burn over 10 sticks a day. I love going away for the day and returning home to find my home scented with rich, exotic incense.
