Bought 2 of these for wildfire smoke, put one in each room. I woke up with the same headache and an itchy throat. This shows that in a room in the house it is 10pm and outside AQI 160, we have so much smoke that we cannot see the sun. So I just plugged the car in from the outside to make sure it wasn't properly detecting the air quality. It shows 10pm again, which is green, and runs as slowly and quietly as possible in automatic mode. I will definitely send them back and get my money back. I can't answer the question of whether it works or not while running it at max speed to see if my headache goes away, but regardless the device should be able to clock and run slower or faster . respectively. Save your money and get something else
