I have bought many cables from StarTech over the last 4 or 5 years and I love them! This special offset cable is ideal for those who, like me, have bent or broken the cable connector due to a small drop in their phone while charging. The enemy in this situation are "levers". However, since this cable only protrudes about half an inch from the connector and then immediately rotates 90 degrees, there is much less leverage if you drop your phone or tablet connector-side down. Don't get me wrong this cable isn't invincible so there's still a chance it will bend BUT it's much less likely to ruin your cable after a small fall. This cable is very durable, but a couple of my old cables didn't work the way I remembered them for one reason or another. This is where the lifetime cable warranty comes into play. I just went to STARTECH.COM, found their support number at the top of the page and called them. After just a few pointers I was put through to a friendly and professional person who walked me through a very quick and easy process, answered all of my questions and concerns and went out of their way to keep you satisfied. It literally couldn't be easier. Shortly after, they emailed me a shipping label and some simple "plain text" instructions. Processing time was 8 to 10 business days, which was surprisingly quick. Best of all they covered shipping both ways. From my personal experience, I can honestly say that their customer support has been and is second to none. I just wish I could remember who originally referred me to StarTech so I could thank them.
