Fits easily and holds my phone with leather case! I have a few cards in my sleeve and have to fold the main flap to fit the holder, but it fits. Although it doesn't appear to be stable, it has never crashed even when going over bumps. I think the friction of the body with the holder is what keeps it in place. It fits my CRV perfectly - I love its height. It sits just below my car's screen and is at a comfortable viewing height without obscuring anything. I tried another mount that was supposed to be on the dashboard, but it blocked my view of the windshield.
