It's a sturdy leash if you're rating it for whether or not it can withstand the pull of a 1 year old German shepherd (it definitely can), but the black rubber cover that hides the connection point at the dog end of the leash came unstuck within 3 months of regular use. It's more of a cosmetic issue and it doesn't look like the integrity of the connection has been compromised, but now the rubber thing slides up and down the leash which is a little annoying.The handle is also a little stiffer than I'd like, but not a bad purchase.
