If a person's camera suddenly stops working after the software has been shut down, the message "camera is not available" should alert you to examine the privacy settings in Windows. You will need to enable access to cameras at that location. After installing Windows and a pair of legs for OBS, I was able to get my hands on a beautiful camera. It is a much more pleasant experience than converting a DSLR camera into a webcam. Has some pros: Excellent photograph. Not too shabby, considering it has a microphone built right in. Easily accessible mounting system, in addition to a standard inch thread for use with a tripod. Nice appearance and solid construction. A pleasant indication of effort, the light is bright enough to be seen but not intense enough to cause eye strain or discomfort. Perhaps even a marginal increase in brightness would be worthwhile. Got cons: There is no way to rotate the camera along the axis that runs vertically. If it's not mounted on a tripod, you can adjust the horizontal angle of tilt over a very wide range, but you won't be able to rotate it. When you turn off the computer or detach the camera from USB, the settings in OBS are reset to their default values. This is remedied by using crutches, but the question remains: why does a camera that does not cost the least amount of money have any problems at all?
