I bought this for my 6 year old daughter for her new guinea pig for Christmas. This is a large cage for one or possibly two guinea pigs or small pets. It has everything you need to keep a small pet. I took off a star because the water bottle that came with the cage isn't very good (it attaches oddly, the bottle doesn't stay in the holder well and the spout leaks), so I ended up buying another one that's much better is working . . The shelter portion is large enough to comfortably accommodate multiple guinea pigs and is easy to remove or clean. The dinner plate has a special place so it doesn't get knocked over easily, which is a plus. The whole thing folds up easily when you no longer need it, and it's also easy to clean. The hay bowl leaves a lot to be desired, but since it's not really needed and you can just put alfalfa or hay in the cage for the animal to eat, it's a nice little addition that really does the job. The clips used to attach the top of the cage to the shelf and access door are very versatile and can be installed in many locations, not just the locations specified in the instructions. This made it easier to install the hay bowl on the short side rather than the long back, allowing me to place the cage on my daughter's dresser against the wall.
