I highly recommend taking this model, I took the last one and I can say that I want more! :) What I think about the VE-200: In the reviews, there are people who call it quiet and people who call it noisy. The trick is that up to half the power it is quite quiet (quieter than a computer), and after the middle it starts to make quite a lot of noise (louder than a computer). The noise is normal, fan noise. That is, if you are used to sleeping in the summer with the fan on, you will not hear anything new here at maximum power. Neither by the type of noise (gurgling for example), nor by volume. If we are talking about a small room with closed windows, then in a few hours at a third of the power, the humidity rises from low to adequate and can be further reduced, and therefore the noise is almost inaudible. But problems come along with the heating season. When you want to ventilate the room with the batteries on, you have to open the window and the water instantly flies there. A couple of days with especially hot heating had to be turned on really at 2/3 of the power, for me personally it’s no longer comfortable to sleep like that. True, if you compare life in this mode with life without a humidifier, the priorities shift dramatically. The fact is that on such nights the dryness in my room is such that in the morning I consistently woke up with a sore throat. And now I just sleep under the quiet rustle. I even began to suspect that the Soviet legend about "draughts that can make you sick" was caused precisely by a drop in humidity in the room. For myself personally, I eventually came to the conclusion that it would be worth taking a more expensive model, which differs from the 200th in a wider drum. As a result, it can evaporate more water at a lower fan power, which will lead to lower volume. And so, in a day, 3.5 liters of water flies away from me, even at 40% comfortable for my ear. My room is 12 meters square. At the peak, more flew away, but I did not notice exactly how much. In our delivery, the grilles on the top and front are gray, as in the photo of more expensive models.
