I had no trouble connecting to my iPad Pro or laptop. The brightness seemed a bit dim at first, but if you use the toggle switch you can change a lot of settings to make it look even better. It gets even brighter when connected to an external power source. The protective cover feels strong and flexible at the same time. The only downside I see is that there isn't an easy way to permanently mount this monitor somewhere, but that defeats the purpose of using it as a portable USB monitor. I plan to leave it in my suitcase for the trip as it fits perfectly in my carry-on and ready to go out and use once I get to the hotel.
