There are a few examples on my page 55-300 f 4.5-5.6g ed dx vr af-s Has some pros: For my money, a very worthy version of a telephoto, especially since on the crop we get a focal length right up to 450 moderate and easily corrected in any editors In terms of focusing speed - quite a worthy option for its price Gives decent sharpness under the right conditions Has some cons: I would only attribute the rotating front lens and (for me personally, due to the photo of the small bag) that the cylinder occupies the smallest size: either you have to focus on infinity before turning off the camera; or switch to manual focus mode and unscrew the lens so that it "folds"
