It was replaced by Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f / 2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical Nikon F and Sigma AF 50-200mm f / 4-5.6 DC Nikon F. After the replacement, it lay idle for a long time and was sold without any regret. As the original one, you can, but replace it as soon as possible, or even better buy with or without another lens (body). Even 18-55 f / 3.5-5.6 VR I think is more preferable - they are sharp and inexpensive there. Where it can be used - only for traveling with a plot: we were here, here is the fence, here the wall is plastered peeling (do not remove the brick, your eyes will squint), without close-ups, without greenery, without flowers, the sea is only stormy and without special requirements for color, for everything becomes greyish-greenish.
