We've been trying for a long time to find a siphon to drain our bathtub! Eventually I stumbled across it and thought we might give it a try as it was pretty cheap and had good reviews. It was delivered today and I was going to install it and was a bit disappointed as it didn't fit right away as I thought it would be bigger so it would work with our sink. After playing around with it a bit and looking at other people's pics, I was almost ready to return it when I saw how small everyone else's plums were, but thought maybe I should try to cut out the innermost points to to form a circle. so I can run it around on our drain and it might work. I used the blade of my Cricut knife to cut from point to point and ended up with a more hexagonal shape than a circle. I put a new hole around the top of our drain and now it works like clockwork! Very happy I was able to modify it to work for our needs. I was worried our sink would still be too high as it doesn't sit perfectly on the bottom of our tub, but when I tested it with water it seemed to work really well! I'll have to try this in the shower tomorrow and see how well it catches hair, but it works great for draining water and sits better in our tub now! * Update 4/9/21 We've been using this drain cap for a few weeks now and it works fantastic! It's easy to clean and works great even in our tall tub. I have long hair and had to brush it several times which is good as it really works! 10/10 for this product 😀
