Review on Waterproof Adhesive Transparent Retention Aftercare by Andrew Mclemore

Cheaper is not always better.

I had high hopes for this adhesive but was disappointed. I love that you can only use as much as you need and that there are fewer losses than more expensive options, but the pros aren't strong enough to outweigh the cons. It's too easy to mess up when applying for the film to stick to itself instead of to the wound. The roll is packaged in a ziplock plastic bag. When it arrives, it is by no means sterile, and the unused part is left open for anything. The main downside is the adhesive itself. I have very thin, sensitive skin and unless I'm extra careful removing the foil will damage it even more. At the same time, the glue will quickly fail if left in a damp place. This pretty much defeats the whole purpose. Bottom Line: We chose to pay for an individually wrapped, sterile adhesive sheet that sticks when and where it needs to and doesn't damage surrounding healthy tissue. Buy more expensive, but cheaper in the long run.
