Review on ⚾️ Competition Grade Youth Baseballs - Rawlings RLLB1 Little League by Josh Parson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Softer balls with limited flight and a composite core (RLLB1 version) instead of a shock absorbing cork core (RLLB version).

I can't rate these balls badly, although I'm a bit disappointed. They are good quality with grade B leather (instead of C or D like other balls in this price range) so they are durable. However, they have a composite cork rubber core instead of the softer cork core found in the RLLB version and other higher quality tournament and professional balls, meaning they are softer and have a "limited flight". I think 8u-11u leagues won't notice the difference, but 12u-14u leagues will. Power hitters can't hit that ball that far. When I do ball training for my son I use them with Wilson A1074 balls and they definitely don't go as far or as fast as the Wilson balls. I bought these because Wilson is the same price as the more expensive version of this RLLB ball - too expensive for me this year buying 10 dozen at a time. Last year I paid $32 for a dose of Wilson. Next time I'll have to spend more on the RLLB version (instead of this RLLB1 version) to compare them. But they are good for serving, throwing and catching practice so I can't complain too much. I'll even use them to practice hitting - soft throw and on target.
