I bought these to use with gel polish as my cuticle area is UV sensitive during curing. My fingers get really crunchy under the lamp and I figured that might protect them. It is very difficult to work with them. Especially if you don't have someone else's help. I used 3 packs of 10 for a manicure. They are super thin and will fold by themselves, then won't straighten. Almost like very thin spots. If you put a gel on a real screen protector it will just rip off when you remove it, leaving decals on the gel which can be a problem if your polish doesn't match. I used a drill to cut off bits that were stuck. However, they reduced my discomfort by about 85%, so I don't think they were a waste of time. I just want them to be easier to work with.
