It has some flaws but the product is usable.

Occasionally it will display the right temperature, but just about half the time. Truth be told, I did a lot of research before settling on this particular non-contact thermometer. The baby is burning up with a fever of 39.5 on mercury thermometers (or 38.3 or 37.9 on digital thermometers). When the weather is mild, the readings are spot on!
