Review on Ironwood Gourmet Salad Tongs for Spring - 2.25 x 2.25 x 12 inches by Allen Hart

I've wanted to buy a nice pair of salad tongs for a long time, but this is one of those things I never think about until I need it, which I did for the past few days. Christmas. It was too late to do anything about it when we needed them, but after everyone went home I came to Revane to look around. I saw these and thought they were perfect. They arrived this morning and I am very happy with them. I love that they are made from a sustainable and renewable resource, acacia. I have a beautiful dark color that I just love. The spring mechanism is a mystery to me, I have no idea how it works, but it works! I think it's just about the brilliant cut, shape and placement of the two pieces because I don't see any sign of a metal spring. Of course, that doesn't mean it's not there, it could just mean it's very well hidden. They have a very smooth surface that is pleasant to the touch and hold in hand. I can see where it would be nice if they folded, but I just put mine in a drawer that has extra space (yes I have one of these, don't know how it turned out) so it's not a problem to me. I would recommend these pliers to anyone who wants a beautiful, well made and functional set.
